My name is Jake, and I am an American from the beautiful state of Texas. I moved to Canada in 2010 and in this article I am going to tell you things I like about Canada. I currently live in Calgary – Alberta but I have been all over Canada so I have a good idea of what the country is like from coast to coast.

Canada is a wonderful place to live and raise a family; they have universal healthcare, the country is safe… very safe. So it really is the perfect location to raise a family.

Very kind people and polite – Canadians are very kind and are willing to help you as much as they can.

A very diverse population – Canada attracts people from all over the world, so it doesn’t matter where you come from, you will find a community of people from your country of origin, including food, clothes and so much more. So you will fit into the Canadian society but still enjoy things from back home.

Space, space, space! Canada is a very, very big country in fact it is the second biggest country in the world. It is so big that it has different time zones… and it would take you at least 5 days to travel by car across the country. There many facts about Canada, but I find this particular fact really fascinating. For instance in some countries like the Dominican Republic, it would take you approximately 4 – 5 hours to travel across the country… and yet in Canada, at least 5 to 6 days.

Nature – being such a big country, Canada is one of the most naturally diverse countries in the world. If you are a nature lover, Canada will absolutely blow your mind. For example, I live in the beautiful province of Alberta… there a park called Banff national park. It is the largest and most beautiful park in Canada. The crystal clear waters, mountains, wildlife, trees, flowers… and so much more.

  1. Yes Canada is massive and has a lot of space so if you love to explore and going on crazy adventures, then Canada’s many parks will quench your thirst.
